Contents also are unusually clean, title page and rear endpaper are toned but clean. Pages are divided into 3 sections: heads, torsos and legs to create different funny combinations for children.

Book is in very good, clean condition, contents age-toned, inscription on front free endpaper. Dust jacket is clipped, torn and missing a few pieces at top and bottom. Foreward by Walter Damrosch. A little girl, Alice, is fancifully introduced to the orchestra and it's instruments.

Blue paper covered boards, ivory spine, gilt decoration to front cover, 8 full page color plates plus black and white illustrations thorughout. Two small abrasions to rear board, minor bumps to boards, text is lean, mildly age-toned, binding is tight. Dust jacket has small tears and chips along edges, bit of tape mending, spine and folds are age darkened.

London: Maxton Publishers, Inc., 1947. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Marjorie Collison. Unpaginated. Pictorial paper over boards. Both volumes very good, mildly age-toned. Dust jackets light wear and tiny tears to edges spine lightly worn. These versions were adapted for young readers by Roselle Ross. Nice set.

Book is in very well-reserved, contents and exterior clean and unworn, spine slightly faded. Included is the original clear plastic "Alice in Wonderland" imprinted slipcase. Slipcase has several large tears, but is otherwise complete.

Cover and contents are in very nice condition, slight rubbing to corners, Dust jacket is age-toned, lightly edgeworn and edges chipped with slight loss. Book appears to have been published with no free endpapers.

Unclipped dust jacket has chipping and edge tears (longest 1 1/2 inches), but is overall complete. Color illustrations by Nixon Macknight from original designs by John Tenniel.

Printed in the intermediate stage of Pitman's Shorthand. Text is in Pitman Shorthand and ilustrations throughout by John Tenniel.
