Tipton, IA: Tipton Conservative, 1933. Magazine. Good. Prepared by Hermann Onken, County Auditor, for the Board of Supervisors and the taxpayers of Cedar County. Pages crisp and clean except for occasional corrections written in by the Auditor's office as well as spots of toning and foxing around the outside edges and dark toning inside the rear cover where a list of school board officials was affixed with a non-pH-neutral adhesive. Saddle-stapled binding is secure; soft cover has "County Auditor's Copy" written across the top front, fading along the spine, two small, closed tears with attendant creasing at top rear, discoloration across the rear from toning inside as well as small droplet marks around the edges, and a short crease at the left front, otherwise sound and well-kept. 39pp. + two fold-out charts (Budgets and Levies).

Tipton, IA: Tipton Conservative, 1934. Magazine. Good. Prepared by Hermann Onken, County Auditor, for the Board of Supervisors and the taxpayers of Cedar County. Pages sound, though with numerous annotations and corrections including a summary of the County Treasurer's report, names of County Trustees and Justices of the Peace, etc. Saddle-stapled binding is secure; soft cover has "County Auditor's Copy" written across the top front, fading along the spine, several creases across corners and lines of shallow surface scuffing at the left front and right rear, otherwise sound. 39pp. + two fold-out charts (Budgets and Levies).

Pages crisp and clean except for mild age toning at the endpapers and page block edges; binding modestly relaxed, but square and secure. Hard cover shows rubbing and a little softening at corners and spine ends, thin lines of finish wear at the spine shoulders, and just a hint of dust soil around the embossed portions of the cover, otherwise clean and sound. 367pp. w/index.

Pages crisp and clean except for reciprocal ink smudges throughout and a few small pen marks on page 21; stapled binding is clean and secure; blue soft cover shows a surface abrasion at the upper front obscuring some letters of the title as well as yellowing and surface wear along the spine and around the edges, creasing at the corners, and a few mild handling prints at the lower front, otherwise sound. 45pp. Includes county map, individual township maps, and a directory of landowners and tenants in rural regions.
