Horizontal gilt lines to spine. Gilt lettering on red leather patch to spine. Folio, 16ins x 10.25ins, vi, 148pp plus 2 plans of sluices and 5 maps (4 folding). This volume was extensively restored in 1984 (binders notes included). The title page, first 4 pages (preface & contents) and the plan of Denver sluice have been encased in bookbinders lens tissue on both sides. The second sluice plate and the first map have been covered on one side. The whole volume was resewn, fitted with new endpapers and preserved in a purpose made slipcase. Nb please note the spine label reads ""Armstrong, Navigation, 1766"". A VG well preserved copy.
