Gelatin silver photographs measuring 4 ¾ x 6 ¾ and 2 5/8 x 2 5/8 inches respectively, both images on photographer's mounts. The larger image of a baseball team is titled "Royalton Ball Team, Season of 1900" on verso in light pencil. Team members are identified in a faint hand making it difficult to read. The image of two ball players in Bethany uniforms has a blind stamp of "Appleton" from Dayton, Ohio.

The photograph is the image appearing on the dust jacket of the book.
