Small pamphlet measuring 6 x 3.5", orange wrappers, 117, [7] pp. A scarce book on movies with sound by a New York based textbook writer who also wrote guides on motion picture operation and projection. The first part of this book prints a history of talking movies from the year 1900 through WWI, and the second part describes the various talking picture technologies in use in cinemas around the country. In very good condition with creasing to text.

Casa Grande, Arizona: Dispatch Print, 1930. 9 x 6", yellow stapled wrappers, 39, [1] pp, local advertisements. A cookbook compiled by the Minnehaha Camp Fire Group of La Palma, Arizona, collecting prize winning recipes from the Pinal County fair, together with some additional recipes "we thought would be used and appreciated". The text consists mainly of dessert recipes, including sections for cakes, candy, cookies, pies, and pie fillings, and recipes for Cocoanut Cones, Crystalized Popcorn, and Peanut Butter Fudge. There are also sections for dressings, pickles and relishes, sandwiches, and miscellaneous recipes. Staining to covers and creasing to pages.

Alice in Wonderland is dated 1909, and Through the Looking Glass is dated 1907, Each volume contains a charming gift inscription from Frank Squier to Dr. Heemason, both dated April, 1910. In good condition. Slight toning and foxing to pages, wear and soiling to covers. HInges of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland cracked.

A good copy with pages toned, most of the black and white illustrations have been colored in by the hands of a child, soiling to boards, spine toned, wear and fraying to cloth at corners and ends of spine, bumping to fore edges. Still a nice vintage copy.

First US edition of the Hugh Gee illustrated version. John Tenniel illustrations along with color photographs of “Scenes” by Hugh Gee. First published in England by Max Parrish. A very unusual illustrated edition. Gee seems to have incorporated puppets with people to stylize photographs for this title making for very “Wonderland” like scenes. A very good copy with gilt to title at spine dull and rubbed and a touch of wear to cloth along lower front edge, dust jacket with several inch chip to top end of spine, wear and rubbing along front edges, several chips to lower edge of rear panel, some mild soiling. A fun and uniquely illustrated version of this title.

A very good copy with pages toned, 1919 inscription in pencil to front free endpaper, in the pictorial dust jacket with heavy tape mends to panels to closed tears, lower half of spine lacking extending into the front panel resulting in several inch chip near spine edge, chip to rear spine edge, soiling and wear to panels. Still a scarce printing of this photoplay edition.
