Cover plate and illustrations with CM Burd incorporated into picture. A little wearing away of cloth finish along margins of covers. Two pin holes at top of back joint. Phantom darkening from something laid in between front endpapers. Overall a very nice clean copy with no writing. Original glassine wrapper fine./In original box which is fragile and worn and lightly soiled box.. 28 leaves, each with a pink and blue illustration on recto with space to enter baby's facts, events, diet, cunning things, outings, first words, favorite toys and more..

New York: Robert M. McBride, 1927. First Impression of the Illustrated Edition printed October, 1927, ten years after the first edition of September 1917. Large 8vo. bound in gold stamped black cloth. Pictorial endpapers. Top edge stained red. 243 pp. Dust jacket is also black, though stamped in red. This book is in fine condition. Apparently it has never been read because one would need a paper knife to split the bottoms of the uncut pages. There is a small dent in the middle of the back cover but other than that this book is near perfect./Jacket is sturdy and attractive. There is a 2" closed split along the front joint, a narrow triangular piece missing along the top edge of the back panel, a 3/4" tear in the top edge of back panel and edges are a little ruffled. Overall it is very good.. With 12 illustrations by Frank C. Papé.

Chicago and New York: Belford, Clarke and Co, 1886. 8vo. 7-9/16" x 5-3/8". 314 pp. Decorative pictorial cloth cover stamped in red black and gold. A tight, clean very nice copy with hardly any rubbing. Only a tear and a small hole near the fore-edge of the free front endpaper which also has the previous owner's name in pencil written on the recto side. Also a couple of stains in the margins of pp. 2 and 3. Otherwise a very good to fine copy.. With black and white frontispiece illustration and spot illustration on title page.. Verney Lovett Cameron was an intrepid explorer in Central Africa who was the first European (1875) to cross equatorial Africa from sea to sea. He entered the Royal Navy and was employed for a considerable time in the suppression of the East African Slave trade.

Glossy pictorial boards. 193 pp. One small dent in the joint between spine and front cover. Otherwise a book in fine condition.. Charming illustrations grace each and every page, most in color.. The Carl Larsson Exhibitions at the Amos Anderson Museum in Helsinki in 1981/82 and the Brooklyn Museum in New York late in 1982 make it clear that perennial interest in this artist continues even in our day. . . . .What is the basis for this so constant interest in an artist who is hardly "modern"? At all events, what we may call the "generation gap" does not seem to have been a factor regarding this interest in the case of Larsson. The present work seeks an answer to this question in, I feel, a new form, in that it confronts the reader with his work, his life and also his feeling in a sequence which has hitherto not been attempted.
