In good condition, dust jacket somewhat tattered and has had a tape repair applied at the back. Corners a little bumped but although there is a little shelf-wear and slight discolouration at edges the boards are in rather good condition, with the binding quite firm. Flat-signed on inside of FFEP by author. Page edges and surfaces very clean, no underlining, marginalia, etc. Around half the book consists of plates, with 147 colour illustrations. A good copy and a collectable item for any steam locomotive lover.

This print/plate was taken from a book containing two titles in one: 'Riding' by Captain Robert Weir and others; and 'Polo' by J. Moray Brown. Part of the Badminton Library series. Published in 1902 by Longmans, Green, and Co., London. Some marking and scuffing but mostly clean. Mounted and matted with white and cream acid-free card, measuring 9" x 7 (22.8cm x 17.8cm) with a window size of a little under 7" x 5" and comes in a cellophane bag. This would make for a lovely gift and may appeal to those interested in the work of artist Frank Dadd, polo, equestrian, horse-riding or sport generally.

Some slackness and a little strain to binding but contents reasonably firm. Page edges browned, scuffed and a bit marked. Leaves have been opened quite neatly but there is the odd jagged page edge.
