Page edges a little browned, tanned, scuffed and marked. Map endpapers. This print was taken from the book 'English Diaries and Journals' by Kate O'Brien, part of the Britain in Pictures series. This particular edition was published in 1943 by Collins, London. Very light marking but otherwise clean.
Mounted and matted with white and antique-white acid-free card, measuring 10" x 8" (25.4cm x 20.3cm) with a window size of a little under 8" x 6" and comes in a cellophane bag.
This would make for a lovely gift and may appeal to those interested in the British countryside, nature, the work of Joseph Farington or art generally.

Page surfaces very clean, no writing, underlining, etc. A nice copy and a scarce one: this first UK printing of the book was recalled due to numerous mistakes in spelling, grammar and characterisation as this printing was mistakenly based on an early draft.

Slight crack to front inner hinge, substantial one to rear inner hinge, netting partially exposed, though holding. Rear encompassing index and catalogue are torn with corners missing.
