Pages are yellowed but not brittle.Content: Book of approximately 70 Hitler cartoons culled from world newspapers from 1924-1934; written for a German audience. Although text is in German, many of the cartoons are from English language newspapers & can be appreciated. Hanfstaengl (1887-1975) was Hitler's foreign press secretary & wrote the commentary for the cartoons. Per his 1957 autobiography, "Hitler: The Memoir of a Nazi Insider that Turned Against the Fuhrer", the book was written in consultation with Hitler to refute the "lies" in the cartoons. 7 of the cartoons, all from 1933, deal with Jewish issues.
