Hullmandel (including title), tissue guards present, spotting to several mounts (but not to plates), Re-cased - presumably to pre-empt the inevitable perishing of the gutta percha (as with almost all copies) - in the original quarter green morocco over burgundy boards, gilt-stamped title to upper board, scuffing to edges of leather. Bindings solid and firm with binder's sticker to rear pastedown. Good solid copy of an important work.

Quarter brown leather, gilt, over maroon buckram. Title with archival tape repair to head, just touching the word Poems, period intials to title and later manuscript note under name of author. Last text leaf is List of Subscribers and errata. The publisher Andrew Brice was born in Exeter and apprenticed to Joseph Bliss, and only seems to have been in Truro for a brief period with the vast majority of his output in Exeter.
