Each with dust jacket, each book also inscribed by author to her friends "The Boyntons". "Spring" includes a handwritten poem by the author, and "Autumn" and "Winter" include original drawings by the author. Books overall in nice condition, dust jackets chipped.

Color plates and black and white illustrations within text by August Horn and Hermann Becker. A study of myoma, or non-cancerous growths that may develop in or around the uterus, by two Professors at Johns Hopkins University. The study was based on "(1) the cases operated upon at the Johns Hopkins Hospital from the opening of the institution in 1889 to January 1, 1909; (2) those that have come under the care of Dr. Kelly at his private hospital" and cases in two other Maryland hospitals. Author's compliment's slip laid in, together with an 8pp Saunders' medical books catalog of the period. In very good condition with mild wear and discoloration to covers, scuffing to rear cover, hint of toning to pages, hint of soiling to text block edges.

William R Kenan Jr., 1946. 8vo, 186 pp, beige boards with cloth spine. Autobiography by a North Carolina chemist, engineer, manufacturer, dairy farmer, and philanthropist. This copy inscribed by author, together with a signed letter enclosing the book, on the letterhead of the Flagler East Coast Hotel Company (Kenan helped to develop Florida's East Coast together with Henry Flagler). A good copy with foxing to text block edges, bit of soiling, heavy discoloration to spine cloth.

Toning to pages and mild silvering to block edge, rubbing, soiling and fading to DJ, several small chips and tears along DJ edges, with about a third missing of rear panel of DJ.

A lovely set with very slight wear along spine, hint of toning to pages, slight foxing to endpapers.

Fifth edition of the author's account of a journey to Egypt. Art deco bookplate to front pastedown. Chip to head of spine, covers soiled/darkened and edgeworn, toning to pages, about very good.

First Edition. 7.5 x 5", rust cloth with white lettering and illustration, [14], 61 pp. A cookbook of southern recipes by Laura Thornton Knowles, about whom we could glean little other than that she likely hailed from Pensacola, Florida. Includes recipes for southern dishes such as okra gumbo, crab jambalaya, and barbecued pig, as well as three recipes for alcoholic drinks--mint julep, egg nog, and peach blow. A very good copy with wear to corners and spine tips, 1/2 inch tear to cloth at upper spine, hint of foxing and smudging to endpapers.
