Interior badly foxed but otherwise clean and sound. Boards abraded, spine lacking. Gray, Printer New York 1846 Hardback Cloth 8vo. 106 pp. Brown cloth, gilt front board. The first 63 pages are on the establishment and development of the aforementioned church, the second and final part is a transcript of the sermon by Rev. Parkinson "delivered in the meeting house of the First Baptist Church in the city of New-York, August 20th, 1812: being a day recommended by the authorities of the nation as a day of special humiliation and prayer, on account of the present war." 1846 reprint "by a friend." Scarce with only 19 copies in OCLC: (27966544). Bookplates of two members of the Dodge family, associated with this church and mentioned several times in the text, on the front pastedown.

All the plates called for are present and intact with no remarkable flaws but the cloth-backed paper boards are badly soiled, damp-stained, and frayed.
