A very good copy with top half of rear cover with damp staining that extends over to spine, white markings to top of front cover, corners and ends of spine rubbed and bumped, damp staining to last 20 or so pages not causing issue to text, pages toned, else a very nice copy.

The first volume of poetry by Helen Hinsdale Rich, known as "The Poet of the Adirondacks," and also remembered as the first major advocate of the women's suffrage movement from Northern New York. This copy with a lengthy inscription by Rich on the front endpaper "To Charles Hasset Esq. the self-made Printer Prince of St. Joseph Mo this volume is respectfully inscribed..." A good copy with soiling and wear to covers, fraying to corners and spine ends, toning and loss to spine label.

This title in similar condition sold in 2015 at Swann Auctions for 5,500. An excellent copy in the dust jacket with just a touch of rubbing to extremities, closed tear to rear panel bottom edge, shallow chips to corners and ends of spine. A very attractive copy.
