Description:
Sixteen tipped-in color plates by Dulac, as opposed to 40 in the 1908 First Edition, although the front cover here is nicer. The earliest copies in this format, circa 1910, had gilt titles instead of the green and sometimes blue of this later printing. All 16 tipped-in plates and their decorative pages are present and pristine. Solid binding, straight pages, front board illustration in nice shape except for bumped corners including old tape repair on the bottom right. The real issue here is the spine. It's foxed with spots worn in the cloth and some separation at the bottom. The back cover and rear endpapers have some staining that looks like a drip of actual wood stain.
