Quartos, Copy No. 63 of an edition of 1,000, green cloth boards with gilt lettering and decoration on spines, gilt-outlined inscription on front, illustrated with photogravures, drawings and paintings, top edges gilt, other edges untrimmed. The Bard's work presented in chronological order. Photos here of some of the great actors and actresses of the 19th century, including a Nadar photo of Sarah Bernhardt, Robson and Crane by Sarony (deftly hand-colored), Edwin Booth also by Sarony, Lily Langtry and others.
