Some soiling to outer wraps, with appx. 1.5 inch closed tear to rear wrapper, mended with a small piece of clear tape to verso. Bound with double leaves, folded at fore edge. Uniformly toned, some corners and edges creased, light soiling throughout. Descriptions of Japanese homes, customs, holidays, music, and art, with numerous color illustrations. Copyright page in Japanese, date (roughly) translated to "Edition August 13, 25th year of Meiji.
