Pale pink 8.25 x 10.25" book with "Baby's Book" written in gold lettering. The book is by Cornelia Morton Weyburn and provides prompts and illustrations that parents can fill out concerning their child. The book has been entirely filled out with information about Ashley Mecham Spaulding, a son born to Earl B. Spaulding and Mildred M. Spaulding on May 23, 1924 in New Hampshire. The baby book documents Ashley's first outing, shoes, tooth, step, lock of hair, word, toys, prayer, Christmas, along with Ashley's baby sayings, toys, incidents, and first day of school. These details of Ashely's life, from 1924 to 1940, are written in a neat, legible script, presumably by Ashley's mother. Throughout the book there are 60 black and white photos measuring between 1.5 x 2" and 7 x 5.25" which are glued to the pages. The Seventh Day Baptists' Missionary in Jamaica, is documented in this 12 1/2" x 8 3/4" photo album, with 23 leaves, 36 pages and 177 photos. The album is annotated and many, not all, photos are provided with caption, and often people in the photographs are named. Snapshot portraits of faculty, staff, and students of Crandall High School. Construction photos of schoolhouses and churches. Wedding portraits from the ceremony of Socrates and Clara, Leonard and Vera. Also documented are old sugar mill ruins, a milk peddler, and other portraits. Photographs of recreation show people at the beach, sitting in waterfalls, swinging in a hammock, or out for a picnic. Photos and captions also point to various conferences. There is one newspaper clipping that celebrates the silver jubilee (25th anniversary) of the church in Kingston, Jamaica. Circa 1900 Cyanotype photo of a beautiful woman. The image measures about 6.25" x 9.25" The photo paper measures about 9.375" x 13.25," and it is in a white matte, which measures 13.5" x 16.5." Unfortunately, it is not identified. Light staining to the bottom and edges of the photo paper, which does not affect the photograph. A stunning image.

2.75" x 4.5" vintage snapshot photo of a mysterious woman posing crouched on the other side of a chain link fence. Overall excellent condition.

10" x 11 3/4" three-ring binder of 18 leaves/20 pages and 22 photographs. Sticker on the inside cover (as well as writing on verso of several images) indicates this binder as the former property of Mrs. Margaret Stokes of Henderson, North Carolina. Stokes dogs were a first prize winners at several Kennel Clubs. The stamp of commercial photographer Earl Graham of Kannapolis, N.C. on verso of most photos, as well as his watermark over one. Another commercial photographer made several of these photographs, M.L. Snyder of Winston-Salem, N.C. Stokes entered her dogs into the Carolina Kennel Club and the Virginia Kennel Club dog shows. A fox colored terrier is present, as well as a bull dog named Stephan. Four or five dogs pictured in total. There is one photo of a horse on the last page. Duplicates of several photos. Photos vary in size. Three leaves are blank.

7"x 10" photo album from the Biliss Electrical School in Washington, DC. C. 1930s album has over 50 photos of various sizes, held to the pages with corner tabs. There are photos of the buildings, classes, teachers, students, etc. None of the photos are captioned. Bliss Electrical School was founded in 1893 by Engineer Louis Bliss. The school trained electricians and engineers in the US Army and Navy. There are about ten photos missing and one page looks to be torn out.

Seven early 1900s mounted photos, showing different street scenes in Boston. Each is identified and include Long Wharf, South Ferry, Quincy Market, Atlantic Avenue, Custom House, North Ferry, and Boston Music Hall. Each image measures 3.5" x 4.5" and with the mount they measure 4.5" x 7." They were once bound by string, which is missing. One of the photos has some foxing and the mounts have a light warp. Otherwise they are in good condition.

6.75" x 9" sepia toned photo of two nude women. This boudoir scene dates from around 1905-1915 and is possibly French. Someone has glued down the corners onto an 8.5" x 11" piece of contemporary cardboard. It can and should be removed. Some light creases.

Panoramic photo of Bowdoin University in Brunswick, Maine from 1920. It measures about 10" x 37." The name "Willis C. Manson" is typed on the verso and handwritten in pencil is "Taken in 1920." There is a stamp on the back for "Maynard S. Howe, College and Fraternity Novelties, Chi Psi Lodge, Brunswick, Maine," and a stamp on the right bottom corner credits the photo to" S. Arahelyan, Harvard Square Studio, Cambridge, Mass." The photo is of all white men. It is in very good condition.

Nineteen early 1950s mounted photos of boxing great, Max Baer. Each mount measures about 5.5" x 5.5" and each snapshot measures about 3" x 3.75." There are photos of him in the ring, on a canoe, with a woman, at a radio station, etc. As you can see from the scans, some of the mounts have some staining. The photos are in good condition.

12.75 x 10.25" black bound album which contains over 300 black-and-white photos, the majority of which depict a young man named Roger from infancy to adolescence. His last name, nor place of residence is not noted, though one photo is of Bay View Beach, which is in Massachusetts, so that might hold a clue. Some of the photos of Roger as a baby, are on the larger size and appear to be professionally taken. The photos do not appear to be in a particular order, with Roger appearing at different ages throughout the album. As a child, Roger is often shown with his parents or with his nurse, and many times playing with his own toy horse-drawn carriages. Horses seem to have been one of Roger's favorite things, as he is shown working with a deluxe horse transportation company when he is older. As he grows older, Roger is shown more often with friends and traveling. This little black string-bound photo album measures 11.25 x 7.25" and, as the first page announces, contains "Pictures Taken and edited by Frederick H. Steadman Jr." Frederick appears to have been quite a young man who enjoyed taking photos of himself, friends, family, and pets. From 1929 to 1932. The 72 black and white photos include views of the Delaware River, Washington Monument, Mr. Vernon, and other locations around the Capitol, as well as trips to Coral Gables in Florida, St. Augustine Camp, and Camp Nonotuck in Massachusetts. He includes fun photos of his family at the beach and his friends and counselors at Camp Nonotuck. The most amazing photos in this album are of an eclipse of the sun, documented in 4 photos. Photos measure between 1.75 x 1.75" and 4.5 x 2.75" and are held to the pages with corner tabs, annotated with names of locations and people. Overall, the album offers a glimpse into the people, places, and activities that a young man thought most important to photograph.

Within, there are 106 photos (most measure 3 1/2" x 2 1/2"); merit badges, certificates, letters of recognition, pins, newspaper clippings, photocopies, and other ephemera. Of the material dated, it appears that the contents of this album span the time between 1928-1975, with 1928 containing the original items from a Boy Scout and the later items being family photos and Boy Scout reunions. Photographs display John Patterson and fellow scouts on camping trips, practicing golf, archery, swimming, and celebrating their achievements. Certificates belonging to a young John "Jack" Patterson outline the achievements of this honorable scout. A letter from the Chief Scout Executive "James West" congratulates Patterson on the approval of Eagle Scout after the completion of various merits. Sweet photo album kept by a boy named Frank Rush in the 1930s. Written on the first page is "An album of photographs that I actually took and developed and mounted and labeled - Frank Rush." The album measures 7" x 10" and the photos are various sizes and are held to the page with corner tabs. There are about 95 photos in total, with five loose, two missing from the page and a few loose negatives. There are shots of his friends, family, summer camp, parades and even one of black woman named Stella, who I imagine worked in his home. It appears that he didn't fix the negatives well, as the photos are not in the greatest of condition, but the love that went into this album is obvious.

Five 2.75" x 4" vintage snapshots, showing boys diving into a pool. There are some paper remnants on the back, else in good condition.

15.24 x 11" album with a black textured cover that reads "Photographs" in gold. Both the front and back cover are detached from the album. Contains around 1100 black and white photographs from 1908-1917 that feature travel and photos from a boy's summer camp. The album belonged to Charles Edward Hermann, who was a St. Louis native who went on to become Chairman of the Board of Reliance Whiting Co., and an inventor of machines for crushing and air classifying rock and Whiting. Photographs measure between 1.5 x 1.5" up to 5.5 x 3.5" and are glued to the page with a few held to the page with corner tabs. A few are loose. Each photograph is annotated, though some comments are faded, and a majority of the photographs have been numbered and have a year written beside them. There are 90 photos from this 11" x 12" photo album, which says "Otto's early pictures from camp" on the first page. The album appears to be in two sections. Earlier photos are from the late 1930s (at least one is dated 1939 on the back), and it looks like part summer camp and part military camp, with guns and formations as well as leisure photos are shown. The second half seems to be a reunion. Photos are various sizes, with a few real photo postcards. One says "Dear Mama: I am out of money, please send me a dollar....." The last few pages are unused, otherwise it is complete and in good condition.
