The first section contains color maps of the world with a Gazetteer of the World, and the second section contains state maps of the United States with a Gazetteer of the United States. Of course, Alaska and Hawaii were not states when this atlas was published, however they are included with the states, as are Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and the Canal Zone. The covers are the original publisher's blue cloth covers. This atlas is in nice condition with just a little wear at the top and the bottom of the spine. There is a name in pencil at the top edge of the front end paper (which could be erased).
