A rare book in any edition, this is the Second Edition in French of an erotic novel; being the first edition with this title, and the first with the frontispiece, which Lewine, Bibliography of 18th Century Art and Illustrated Books, p, 52, says is by Bovenet after Chaillou. First published in Cologne in 1683 as Eve ressucitée ou la Belle en chemise, known by a single copy in Germany, then first published in English as Eve revived, or, The fair one stark-naked a novel (London: Printed for William Downing, 1684), also known by a single copy at Newberry Library.
