"Admiral Rous and the English Turf" by T. H. Bird. Published in hardback by Putnam in 1939. First Edition. 332pp. Both books are in Good condition, commensurate with age. The bindings are strong and there is no shelf lean to either volume. The internal pages are clean and annotation free. The page edge block in the Admiral Rous book has a stain on it. This book's dustjacket is in Fair condition with small areas of loss to the head and tail of the spine and staining to the rear panel.
