Produced by the Lithuanian Roman Catholic Priests' Association, established in 1909 primarily for the publication of Lithuanian Catholic newspapers and literature, and to promote education of children. It started a weekly newspaper Draugas (The Friend) and was subsequently transferred to Chicago in 1913.
