Scuffing and a little marking, some signs of shelf-wear, slightly bumped and torn corners. Binding reasonably firm. Page edges browned, deckled and jagged from having been cut. Marking and scuffing to binding. Signs of wear, much rubbing at edges and on hinges, tearing to head and tail of spine and to bumped corners. Book has slight forward tilt. Some cracking to front inner hinge, some slackness to binding though contents reasonably firm. Page edges browned, scuffed and a bit marked. Some marking to endpapers, gift inscription to verso of second front free endpaper. Some marking to page surfaces but no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.

Upper page edges gilt, though detail is somewhat scuffed and faded but still visible. Other page edges deckled, browned and foxed, with rough edges from having been cut.
