Idaho Implement Company Photograph circa 1905, Boise, Idaho Photo measures 9 x 14 inches mounted on 13.75 x 17-inch board. Edge wear to board. Light soiling to photo. Verso is blank. Very Good Condition. Tremendous detail in this circa 1905 large format photograph of the newly constructed Idaho Implement Company building in Boise, Idaho. Located at the corner of Eighth and Grove, the building was designed by architect J. Flood Walker. The Idaho Statesman stated that the new building would be the "best lighted, most cheerful and modern salesrooms in this section of the state." The building is festooned with advertisements for implements sold including John Deere, McCormick, Studebaker, and Schuttler. In the foreground are two wagons from the 20th Century Mining & Powder Company. According to Google Maps, this beautiful structure no longer exists; today there is a large plaza with water fountain at the location.

Rare copy of this poem written by Francis William Bourdillon (1852-1921), a British poet and translator, in protest of a proposed railroad project winding up the famed Matterhorn all the way to the summit. Original Dry Point Etching Plate for Walt Kuhn's "Colt" 1922 Plate measures 6.5 x 6.5 inches. Mostly clean with some minor spotting. Verso is much darker (oxidized?) with small white label with "Colt" written on it. Consignor displayed plate in sealed frame since 2005. The frame was damaged in shipping and has been removed. Very Good Condition. New York artist Walt Kuhn (1877-1949) was at the forefront of the early 20th century New York art scene both as an artist and promotor. He worked in various media including printmaker, sculptor and painter. Early in his career he was more known as a cartoonist and draughtsman but yearned to be a "serious" modern artist.
