Idaho Implement Company Photograph circa 1905, Boise, Idaho Photo measures 9 x 14 inches mounted on 13.75 x 17-inch board. Edge wear to board. Light soiling to photo. Verso is blank. Very Good Condition. Tremendous detail in this circa 1905 large format photograph of the newly constructed Idaho Implement Company building in Boise, Idaho. Located at the corner of Eighth and Grove, the building was designed by architect J. Flood Walker. The Idaho Statesman stated that the new building would be the "best lighted, most cheerful and modern salesrooms in this section of the state." The building is festooned with advertisements for implements sold including John Deere, McCormick, Studebaker, and Schuttler. In the foreground are two wagons from the 20th Century Mining & Powder Company. According to Google Maps, this beautiful structure no longer exists; today there is a large plaza with water fountain at the location.

Rare copy of this poem written by Francis William Bourdillon (1852-1921), a British poet and translator, in protest of a proposed railroad project winding up the famed Matterhorn all the way to the summit. The project proposal garnered an unprecedented amount of backlash from both nearby Swiss residents and staunch conservationists from multiple countries. Mimeograph yearbook bound with two metal brads. Cover sheet soiled and entirely detached with moderate silverfish predation. The little critters also enjoyed snacks along the edges of the book and especially the lower corner of the last few pages; no loss of content. Fair to good condition. Cold Springs Camp was located in Austinburg, Ohio, along the banks of the Grand River. The Journal News of Hamilton, Ohio described the camp, in 1931, as an exclusive camp for girls from Cleveland and sponsored by the Women's League of Cleveland. This booklet presents as a yearbook for a summer at camp. A postcard postmarked 1931 is laid in. Colors are bright, minor wear to edges, 1/2-inch tear lower left corner, 5-inch tear near bottom right; both tears repaired with archival tape on verso. Some glue residues on verso and pinholes at corner. Would frame beautifully. Stunning Haynes large format hand colored image of Old Faithful likely late 19th or early 20th century. Haynes worked for the Northern Pacific Railroad for which he produced hundreds of promotional views and developed "one of the finest inventories of the Dakota country" (Mautz, p. 347). In 1882 Haynes set up a studio in Fargo, Dakota Territory and traveled to Yellowstone to help publicize the Northern Pacific Railroad. Initialed by the author who was also the publisher on limitation page. Mylar wrapper. Collection of slightly altered essays which originally appeared in "The Fishing Gazette", along with 16 very pleasing illustrations. Even though the author calls himself the Amateur Angler, not all the essays are about fishing but also about the birds and mammals he encounters on his Sunshine Holyday.

This set of photos documents the first flight from the African Continent to Antarctica, in 1963 as part of the supply chain. On September 30, 1963, two Lockheed C-130's commanded by Rear Admiral James R. Reedy flew from Cape Town, South Africa, via the South Pole, to McMurdo Station in Antarctica. Original Dry Point Etching Plate for Walt Kuhn's "Colt" 1922 Plate measures 6.5 x 6.5 inches. Mostly clean with some minor spotting. Verso is much darker (oxidized?) with small white label with "Colt" written on it. Consignor displayed plate in sealed frame since 2005. The frame was damaged in shipping and has been removed. Very Good Condition. New York artist Walt Kuhn (1877-1949) was at the forefront of the early 20th century New York art scene both as an artist and promotor. He worked in various media including printmaker, sculptor and painter. Early in his career he was more known as a cartoonist and draughtsman but yearned to be a "serious" modern artist. Kuhn was a founding member of the Association of American Painters and Sculptors, who, in 1913 hosted the 'International Exhibition of Modern Art', aka the Armory Show.
