Scrapbook of newspaper clippings compiled by an unknown individual, whose pencil writing inside dates most articles between 1920 and 1935. Apparently a former ledger, some manuscript text is visible beneath clippings. Toning throughout. Leaves from original ledger removed at margin to accommodate thickness of added material. Filled with news-clipped articles and photos of biological anomalies, natural phenomena, and unexplained occurrences. Articles include 7'10 "Giant" Robert Wadlow, conjoined twins Violet and Daisy Hilton, 100-lb."Bouncing Baby" Helen Karsulvz, the World's Smallest Child, Biggest Bell, Tiniest Steam Engine, "Pigmies of Dogdom" (chihuahuas), lightning, snow, and ice storms, mysterious property fires, and a "Weird Sea Monster" caught at Block Island and embalmed for show.

Set during a gathering of The Old Maids' Matrimonial Club, wherein a group of single women get together to discuss marriage prospects and devise new ways of catching bachelors and widowers. Described in the stage directions is a prop called "The Electric Transform(H)er," which when used alongside any of the several elixirs given out by "The Professor" will turn even "the most abject, dried-up old maid" into a fair young lady.

The figures and statements in this pamphlet are taken from the government bluebooks and other documents.
