The author's signature is present on the limitation page and is signed to a Michael Armstrong. This is no.7 of 100 copies. Overall, this is a fine copy of a fine limited edition title.

London: Methuen & Co., (1954). First edition, first printing. This is a near fine copy. The Michael Ayrton dust wrapper is beautiful. There is some light toning and bumping present at the top and tail edges and at the rear panel. It has been neatly price clipped. The boards are fine with the brown embossed title sections clean. The top text block is toned, but the bottom and side are clean. This copy is free from previous owner's ink and is, overall, in near fine condition.The remarkable story of Rene Harding, who, after becoming unhappy with the civilisation of England, leaves the country and travels looking for a new intellectually nurturing home.

London: Oxford University Press, (1964). First edition thus, first printing. This is a very good (or better) copy. The dust wrapper, with wood engravings by David Gentlemen (also internally), has some light closed tears at the top edge and light shelf wear present. There is a spot of browning to the spine edge and a mild tear to the rear panel. It has been price clipped. The boards are without notable wear and the text blocks are lightly foxed. There is a small, neat previous owner's inscription to the front fly leaf. This is a very good (or better) copy, marred by the above issue points.John Clare's masterpiece, accompanied by some stunning engravings.

The dust wrapper has a band of toning to the front panel and some light separation to the head of the spine. The signature, inscribed to 'E. L. W', has bled slightly. The boards are without notable wear and although there are few spots of internal foxing, this copy is markedly clean. This is a very good copy. Containing several key poems, such as the title poem and 'The Victories'.

London: The Stanton Press, 1926. First limited edition (one of 200 copies). This is a near fine copy. Printed on Kelmscott hand-made paper, this is a beautiful production. The paper covered boards, designed for this issue, have some light bumping at the corners with one notable bump to the front panel edge. It is free from foxing and free from additional inscriptions. Binyon has inscribed this copy on the front fly to Lord Aledenham (1846-1936), the former Conservative MP for the City of London. The inscription reads: 'To Lord Aldenham on his eightieth birthday from his friends Cicely and Laurence Binyon 1926'. Also on the fly are remnants of a pasted in letter, and there are traces of script remaining. The binding is tight and overall, this is a near fine copy of a fantastic association.The first limited edition of Binyon's The Sirens.
