The boards are darkened and parts of the cover illustration have been chipped off. Shelf wear to the spine resulting in some cloth loss and bumping and scuffing to the corners. A previous owner's personal stamp is present on the front endpaper. The endpapers and pastedowns are toned but largely clean, with the exception of a few stains. Slight stain on the top edge. There is staining throughout the text block but it largely does not affect the photographs and stays mostly at the edges of the pages.
