Top edge red, [vi] 442pp. In original unclipped jacket priced at $5.95. Signed by the author to the front free endpaper. The book is very good noting some obvious spotting to the spine and some very faint spotting to the endpapers. The dust jacket which is now protected in a removable, clear cover (not shown) is good only. It has spotting to the top and fore edges which have holes and splits. There are splits of 1.5 and 2 cm along the bottom edge of the upper panel; rubbing, chipping and short tears of under 0.3 cm to the spine tips, and splits in the fore edge joint of front panel and front flap of 4cm and 2cm. All in all, a scarce signed copy of one of the best selling books of all time. NF/VG. 1st Edition, 1st Impression. 13.3 x 20.2 cm blue boards with gilt stamped titles to the spine, 234[2]pp with original unclipped dust jacket designed by Derrick Holmes and priced at 21s net. The boards have been well protected by the jacket and are clean with bright titles and the corners are firm and sharp. Internally, there is an ownership name and date on the front free endpaper but otherwise the book is clean and bright. The dust jacket, which is now protected by a clear removable cover (not shown), has some toning to the spine and fading to the spine titles and some dust marking to the white areas on the jacket. There is some light creasing mainly to the top and bottom edges and on the corner of the front flap. There are also a few closed tears mainly of 1-2mm but there are three of between 1.2 - 2.2 cm. Early August 1924 xiii, 70pp with Cover design by George W. There is rubbing to the spine with a 0.5 loss in cloth at the head of the spine and three small holes in the cloth at the foot. Internally clean, without name, inscription or bookplate and just a faint vertical crease on the final two leaves which appear to be the result of a manufacturing error. The dust jacket, which is now protected in a removable clear cover (not shown), has a touch of toning to the spine and a small 0.5 cm line on the margin of the front panel.
