Los Angeles 1897 Accordion-folding photos of the city and bay, tipped into card covers with gilt title. A single folding sheet of 15.5 x 97 cm, with black-and-white photos: flora, houses, street scenes, La Jolla Cave, with panoramic views of Coronado Beach and Hotel, a waterfront view of San Diego, and a birds-eye view of the bay. The back cover states that the photo chemitype process was used. Rare piece with only one institutional holding (UC-San Diego) according to OCLC (56197889). There is a similar publication from six years later but another publisher's name appears on the back cover, absent from this copy.
