Striking broadside advertisement for the M.E. Gay & Co. Millinery store in Windsor, Vermont. Printed by W.H.H. Rogers & Co. Mfra., New York and Chicago. Includes four intricate engravings. Remarkable late 19th century survivor printed on tissue paper, yet shows little wear--almost appears new save for the folds.

[Maps, Railroads, Californiana] Very Rare Lithograph Negative Vicinity Map of Death Valley: The Bottom of the Western Desert Basin Showing Railroads and Highways Leading Thereto from East and West, Pacific Coast Borax Company, circa 1930s, 24 x 19.75 inches. Large plastic negative; highly detailed lithograph; lithographer's tape near top edge shows signature - possibly the artist's. Strip of orange plastic affixed to bottom with lithographer's tape. 2-inch dent near bottom middle; a few very small (less than ¼ inch) dents, mostly near edges; overall in very good condition. This map negative shows both the Death Valley Railroad between Ryan and Death Valley Junction, and the Tonopah and Tidewater Railroad, as well as the Santa Fe Railroad, all of which were used to transport the borax mined by PCB. 1639. Virgin Crowned by Two Angels-- Etching by Simone Cantarini circa 1639, 5.5 x 8.125 inches. Etching on a thick cream paper with minor soiling. Framers tape on verso at head and foot. Two very small cuts at top edge. Paper thinned in several areas: not affecting print. Very Good Condition. Etching by Simone Cantarini (1612-1648) titled "Virgin Crowned by Two Angels. Cantarini was an Italian painter and etcher. He was known for his paintings of historical subjects while his etchings "achieved extraordinary delicacy and a vibrant and luminous quality in his graphic work." (Marina Garofoli. "Cantarini, Simone." Grove Art Online. Oxford Art Online. Oxford University Press).
