Is it safe for me to give my account number to Biblio?

Biblio is asking only for information that is printed at the bottom of every check that you write.  Your bank account details can only be used to deposit money into your account.  Biblio will not and can not use your bank account information to take money out of your account.

Payments to Biblio are handled entirely separately, and Biblio will continue to use the credit card you have on file with us in your Update How I pay Biblio tool.

Your bank account information is transmitted to Biblio through a secure, encrypted link.  The security of Biblio's site and of data encryption is tested and verified continually by McAffee, a third party verification service.

Why is encryption important?

Encryption increases the security of data transmissions, reducing the risk of third-party observers being privy to content. Encryption can also be used for stored data. Biblio.com uses digital security certificates.  That provides a means of proving Biblio.com identity in electronic transactions, much like a driver's license or a passport does in face-to-face interactions. With a digital server certificate, our customers and business associates can be assured that Biblio.com business registration and domain ownership have been verified by an independent third party.
