The first edition.'From an Abandoned Work' is an early work by Samuel Beckett, originally broadcasted on the Third Programme on BBC Radio 3 in 1957.The work is a short story told in a first person narrative, revolving around three days in the life of an neurotic elderly man, in which he remembers his past.Three newspaper clippings about Beckett loosely inserted. In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, smart. A little discolouration to the wraps, heavier to the rear wrap. Small chip to the head of the rear wrap. Light cockling to the flyleaves. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good
