Very Good. 1 bound volume containing the monthly publication The Mirror for the school year 1907-1908 of Central High School, Philadelphia, Pa. 32, 34, 36, 42, 40, 40, 40, 38, 36, 70 p., frontispiece and 8 leaves of illustration: many full-page and in-text illustrations; 25 cm. Red cloth with gilt-stamped spine title. Joseph K. Willing was the editor in chief. Each issue contains a piece of fiction, reports on school activities, a biographical sketch of a school alumnus, reports from other schools in the city including girls' schools, and jokes. Although the former owner of the volume is not identified, he was kind enough to identify many of those shown in the photographs of sports teams and the social clubs. Very scarce. In Very Good Condition: cover is rubbed; handwritten identifications of some students; otherwise, clean and tight.

Bound in dark-red cloth with silver gilt lettering and botanical decoration to front panel. Much historical content, including rosters of faculty, students, alumni and much, much more. Densely illustrated with photos and drawings. Includes many period ads. Obituary of 10th President Elizabeth Storrs Mead laid in. 260 pp. + 34 pp. of ads. Tight, unmarked copy with one slightly pulled but strongly attached signature. Light shelf wear to extremities. In all, a very presentable copy of an important historical resource. Stated First Edition, fifth printing. 416 pp +four bonus pages of recipes clipped from the Better Homes & Gardens magazine with dates of March 1949; January, 1950; November, 1956; and February, 1957. Small tear on page 59 caused by a paperclip that was removed. Text is lightly tanned typical of age and edges are lightly sunned. No written notations within although a few recipes are marked with a small checkmark. 20 numbered pink card stock chapter index tabs including an index. Loose-leaf binder with 5 metal rings in excellent like new condition; all pages are original and are clean and complete. Card stock binder protector after index. This edition has illustrated front and back endpapers, with pink temperature and measurement charts and a full color photograph of a blue and white rolling pin and several pies, which is continued onto the title page. A chronicle of the IX Corps, written by seven different veterans. The name of a former owner is written in a neat hand on the front fly leaf: "Serg. John A. Fisher Northfield Mass." He is listed in the book on pages 171 and 369, as being wounded at Spottsylvania, before being discharched in 1864. Also, according to a separate note inserted in the book, Fisher's cousin was Joseph Austin Harris, listed on page 371; discharged in 1865.

Overall minimal wear to the binding, but there are a few little contact marks on the front cover. A sound copy with secure inner hinges and clean text. Illustrated throughout.

Hardcovers bound in brown cloth with black and red faux labels on the spines. Collates complete with 8 folding maps, including a folding facsimile map of North America at the front of Volume I. This is a REPRINT of the 1741 edition. Bindings have light wear. The upper right corner of volume one has a small scuff and the rear board has some rubbing at the upper edge and along the hinge. Edges of both text blocks are foxed with heavy foxing on the top edges. The front hinge of volume one is loose but gutter is whole, no tears. Endpapers are foxed. The front flyleaf of each volume has the signature and blindstamp impression of Charles D. Rodenbough, a North Carolina historian. Text is foxed, has occasional light pencil marks in the margins and underlining in pencil. There are some post it flags placed in both volumes.

Paris: F. Bechet and A. Egron, 1817. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Octavos. xxx, 403, [2]; 394, [2] pages. Hardcovers bound in dark green half leather with marbled paper-covered boards. The bindings show some wear but are quite sound with sturdy hinges. The rear hinge on Volume 1 is scuffed with the untreated leather exposed. There is a white scuff mark on the front cover of Volume 1 at the bottom left corner. Bindings tight. Marbled endpapers. The text is a little toned and has some occasional foxing, but overall the text appears clean. Half title to Volume 1 appears to be a little loose. SIGNED Bechet (one of the publishers) on the verso of the title page to authenticate this edition as not being a pirated edition. Text is in French. A translation of the title into English is, "The Colonies and the Present Revolution of America.
