New York: Random House, 1950. First Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. Presentation Copy. Inscribed on the front endpaper with a poem by Millar to her "valentines." Very Good in a Good jacket, unclipped ($2.50), generally toned and rubbed, creases at the cornes and folds, tape reinforcements on the verso. Dark grey boards, rubbed and bumped at the edges and corners. Firmly bound with a forward lean, black top stain, clean internally. Millar's noir about a doctor tracking down a missing pregnant woman who approached him to perform an abortion.
