1912. First Edition. Hardcover. Poor. 1912 First Edition. Very scarce used book. Poor condition. Gray cloth boards with some staining. Front cover and spine are mostly detached at endpage. Pages are yellowed but unmarked save the front endpages, which have two previous owners' addresses, one crossed out. The Preface reads: "Near the headwaters of the beautiful Chesapeake Bay in My Maryland stands "Beech-Holm," the scene of the true incident related in this simple story. The illustrations are reproductions of recent photographs of the house and surroundings." Shelf 2
