About This Item
Blue cloth with title, author's name, and illustration of castle entrance printed in brown. Illustrated in black-and-white photos from R.W. Johnston Studios, Pittsburg (stet), PA. This appears to be part of Grosset & Dunlap's "Dramatized Novels" which were illustrated with photos as listed in ads in the back. Graustark was adapted as a stage play in 1908. These photos do not look like the 1915 silent movie produced by the Essanay Studios featuring the romantic team Francis X. Bushman and Beverly Bayne nor the 1925 Norma Talmadge silent movie. Interesting and unusual copy of popular early 20th century story.
Extended Description and Notes
A biblio mystery. This is not the 1920s photoplay but an earlier version. Is it the 1908 stage play or 1915 silent movie?
