Presentation copy, inscribed by the author to Hugh Hefner on the front flyleaf: "Dear Mr. Hefner: This is a long way from Playboy and 'Reaching for Paradise' but I thought you might enjoy reading it - and perhaps having Playboy review it. My very best wishes, Thomas Weyr". Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the Hugh M. Hefner Foundation. Weyr also wrote "Reaching for Paradise: The Playboy Vision of America" (1978). Octavo. Paperclip indentation to the top of the front flyleaf, with some light yellowing to the dust jacket; else near fine.
