Four octavo volumes (19-19.5cm); beige and brown cloth-covered boards, with titling and decorative elements stamped in black and gilt on spines and front covers; brown topstains; dustjackets; lxiv,402,[6]; [9],10-337,[7]; [9],10-752,[4]; [8],9-644,[4]pp. Inscribed by the author in the first volume, in Leipzig, dated 5.I.37. A few faint scuffs to topstains; gentle sunning to board edges on Vol.2; scattered foxing to covers on Vol.3, though clean internally; some faint foxing to covers and text edges on Vol.4; Very Good+ to Near Fine. Dustjackets on Vols.1-3 are gently spine-sunned, lightly edgeworn, with several tiny nicks, tears, and attendant creases, and some shallow losses to crown on Vol.3; Very Good+. Dustjacket on Vol.4 is gently spine-sunned, with a few tiny tears, and a faint stain to rear panel; Near Fine.
