Octavo; publisher's cloth, red topstain, in pictorial dust jacket retaining original price ($2.50); vi,354pp. Moderate wear to jacket margins including long closed tear to upper panel touching the "G" in "George" (old tape repair to verso), very faint dampstain along upper jacket spine edge, rather heavy foxing to rear panel and textblock margins, brief paper residue to spine cloth; still remains a Very Good, presentable copy.

Epistolary novel awarded the 1938 Pulitzer Prize. The Late George Apley also served as inspiration for the 1947 film adaptation starring Ronald Colman and even a sit com which ran from 1955 to 1957.
