As noted, missing some early editions.. various illustrators & contributors. Original 1921-22-23 Cloth/Quarter bound leather hardcover With bound monthly magazines. "THE LIFE SAVING SCOUT & GUARD" Publ Salvation Army UK. The Life-Saving Scout & Guard organisation was established by William Booth to assist and guide young men and women. Eventually it was absorbed into the Boy Scout Movement of Baden Powell. Magazines issued monthly from 1921. The first is September 1921 (Vol.1 No.3) Next is Vol.1 No.11 (in between are missing) Then runs continuously to Vol.3 No.6 (December, 1923) Total 338 pages. Contents: Extensively illust photos,articles of 'troop' activities in England, Australia, Scandinavia, Italy, Canada, Europe etc. Also helpful hints, cartoons, advice plus biography with photo founder William Booth. Excellent reference of little known pre-ww2 Salvation Army "Scout & Guide" type social group. Rare volume.
