First Edition, First Printing. Signed. Near Fine in a Good+ dustjacket. Light green cloth with red-banded gilt lettering on spine. Solid binding, square with sharp corners. A previous owner stamp on FFEP dated 1954, otherwise clean and free of any markings. The unclipped dustjacket shows original price of $3.95, with edgewear and a 1/4 inch chip at head of spine, and with a date stamp "1954" on back inside panel. Protected in a Brodart archival cover. Historical fiction that provides valuable insight into a misunderstood woman, both in her own time and in history. Signed by Irving Stone on the front free endpaper. Carefully packaged and shipped in a box.
