New York: George D. Sproul, 1903. Octavo (8.5 x 5.75), xiv + 348 pages and five black and white illustrations from drawings by Frank T. Merrill. Brown 3/4 leather binding with marbled boards and endpapers and gold lettering and design on spine; the top surface of the text block is gilded. The interior is spotless and the binding is solid, but the cover shows wear and tear consistent with its age (see image).
