New York: Random House, 1955. Bound in the publishers fine weave black cloth with gilt title lettering on blue and green title blocks to front panel and spine. The 406 pages remain in fresh, clean condition and are tightly bound. Discreet ownership inscription to front paste down otherwise interior of book is very clean. Book sits solid and square with all hinges strong. Housed in the distinctive dustwrapper with publishers printed price intact on front inside flap. Light wear, creasing and signs of handling mainly to head and heel of spine otherwise dustwrapper is in very good condition. Colours remain fresh and vibrant with no fading. Protected in a removable archival booksleeve to preserve its condition. The photograph supplied is a picture of the book and the dustwrapper and we are happy to send more images on request. A very presentable copy of this most interesting Paul Bowles title.. First Edition. Near Fine/Very Good. FIRST EDITION.
