Very Good Plus, bound in contemporary quarter pebbled brown morocco over marbled boards, brown end papers, edges red, the bookplate of John James Gilchrist at front paste down, light wear at joints and edges, internally clean and bright. xi, 541 pages. Color frontispeice and 3 fold-out plates, two color, a total of 29 plates in all, 3 of which are maps, with some illutrations in text. Elizabeth Caroline Hamilton Gray, (c. 1826-1900), was a Scottish historian and travel author. I. Third Edition. Quarter Pebbled Morocco . Very Good Plus/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
