London: William Pickering, 1845. Small Octavo. Aldine edition of the British poets. In 6 volumes. Portrait frontispiece in volume one. A collection of Chaucer's poetical works along with a memoir. An exceptionally nice set. Though all the volumes appear to have been rebacked at an early date and beautifully executed. (It would not have been noticeable except; the marbled endpapers did not match the marbled edges). A beautiful set, bound in full polished calf, spines flat, maroon and brown spine labels gilt, gilt ruled compartments decoratively stamped in gilt, all edges marbled, remarkably fresh and bright internally, with a few bumped corners. A lovely set.

New York: Boni and Liveright, 1924. Signed by Eugene O'Neill on the colophon of the first volume. Limited First Edition / First Printing. Number of 126 of 1200 copies. Blue cloth spine, gray paper-covered boards. Fine. Vintage original Art Deco style owner bookplate to the pastedown of each volume. Please note: The pages are unopened.. The title on the title page of the books is "The Complete Works of Eugene O'Neill." The title on the spine reads "Collected Plays of Eugene O'Neill.

London: H.D. Symonds, 1797. Octavo. The physiognomic classic that dominated the 18th and early 19th centuries with Bronte, Dickens, Hardy and even Oscar Wilde in this now discredited interpretation. Three volumes in four translated from the last Paris edition by Rev. C. Moore, Vol. 1: 243, Vol. 2 & 3: 186, 187-288 and Vol. 4: xi-[15]16-334pp., illustrated with several hundred engravings (356 full page engravings including the three frontispieces and one folding facsimile letter with a repair), bound in full tree calf, board edges decorated with a gilt roll, raised bands, double red morocco labels gilt, fully gilt decorated, top edges gilt, with the bookplate of Earl of Cromer (Evelyn Baring, 1841-1917) the British Consul-General in Egypt and a member of the influential Baring banking family. Joints lightly rubbed, closed tear to upper margin of page 90, monkey plate following page 125 has half of the folding plate lacking. A few small chips to heads but still quite nice.

Burton Club, 1907. Hardcover. Very Good. This is the complete seventeen volume set of the ""Medina Edition"" privately printed by the Burton Club for subscribers only, and was limited to one-thousand sets, this being #98. While there is no publication date, Penzer notes this as 1907. Gray cloth binding with titling on a paper spine label. All volumes are in very good shape. There are no nameplates, no names written in, and no library markings. On all volumes the top-edge is gilt, other edges are rough. There are no DJs.

The Easton Press, 1991. 6 vols. First thus; Collector's Edition. Hardcover. Issued without dust jackets. Used - Fine, "as new" condition. Bottom edges all show very minor shelf wear. Otherwise appear unopened / unread. Bindings and text blocks are tight, bright, crisp, and clean with no ownership markings or bookplates. Bound in full (genuine) red leather with hubbed spines. Embossed in 22kt gold on the spines and front and back covers. Heavy duty binding boards. Printed on acid-neutral, archival paper. All edges gilt.
