Dark purple wraps with illustration of people in rubble has minor normal shelf wear. Half title has the top corner cut off, otherwise clean and unmarked. Hard to find. Entirely in Italian. Giuseppe Giannuzzi (1841-1915) wrote the "De Siciliae et Calabriae Excidio Carmen" on the occasion of the earthquake, which devastated the cities of Reggio Calabria and Messina in 1908. With this poem the priest of Acquarica del Capo (LE) participated in the "Certamen poeticum Hoeufftianum" of 1919 in Amsterdam and was judged worthy of great praise, ranking second behind Pascoli, who obtained the gold medal with the composition Pomponia Graecina; Testi E Studi Di Letteratura Antica; Vol. 10; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 153 pages .
