About This Item

London: London: Printed for John Bell, 1780. Half leather. Very Good. 12mo; 392pp. In contemporary eighteenth centiry half leather over marbled boards (somewhat worn with minor loss to extermities), gilt lettered red leather title label to spine, a few gathers misbound with slightly protruding fore-eges (but all still well bound in), complete with opening frontispiece, The Twins is derived from Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors. A very good example.

About Lyppard Books

Lyppard Books was established in Worcester, UK, in 2012, adopting the unusual name from Lyppard Grange, once a farm attached to the monastery of Worcester's ancient cathedral. We maintain a small and select stock of English and Continental antiquarian titles from the dawn of western printing to the 19th century, and aim to offer original, early examples of scarce and sought-after texts.
