Color printed endpapers. From jacket: "An authoritative and delightful study of world famous Harrow-on-the-Hill... much fascinating material in this outline of the history of the town. The athorotative traces its development from the time when the Archbishops of Canterbury were Lords of the Manor of Harrow, to the period when the Charter for the School was granted by Queen to John Lyon. This book commemorates the 850th anniversary of the consecration of the Parish Church by St. Anselm. The commemoration took place in 1944, but publication of the book has been delayed owing to the war." Ex-library with typical treatments. Jacket is covered with bordered mylar and the border is a bit worn. Bookseller's pencilled notations on half title page. A copyright statement on the reverse of the title page is blacked out and bled through so that it looks like a green mark. Rear end page is deeply creased and has a small tear to top. Pages are toned. . Hard Cover. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Ex-Library.
