Illustrated stiff card wraps, 12 hand-colored illustrations printed on one side only, with printed sides facing each other. Wear and chipping to cover, dampstaining to cover and endpapers only, light soil and occasional spot to text and illustrations, former owner's name and inscription partially obscured on front endpaper. Each page contains a rhyme devoted to a particular part of speech accompanying each illustration. (Nouns, verbs, adverbs,etc.) A rare chapbook.

Scarce dust jacket is missing a 2 1/2 inch piece from lower spine and several smaller pieces from top edge. Wonderful pen and ink drawings by Pogany throughout text.
