First edition thus, 12mo; xv, 556pp. In contemporary full speckled calf (a little worn with minor loss to extremities), spine divided by double gilt fillets into six compartments, gilt lettered black title label to second compartment, marbled endpapers, neat early ink ownership name to opening blank and title page, unobtrusive light spotting to opening and closing leaves, a clean and attractive copy of this abridged version of Pearson's popular exposition.
