Stockholm: Laurentii Salvii, 1745. First edition. Small octavo, pp (2), xii, (4), 420, a folding plate at the rear [Linnaea] a bit marked and stained, a long tear at one of the folds but no loss of the printed surface, a little age-toned throughout, edges marbled, a little closely trimmed so there is very occasional very slight cropping of the head-word, otherwise very firm tight and sound internally, an unidentified contemprary signature on the title page (see illustration), a tiny signature on the front endpaper - S. Soderlund ? - and a tiny bookseller's label - J.W. Levin, Upsala; bound in a later Victorian green pebble cloth, blind-stamped decoration in very good condition. RARE. [ This was the first full account of the plants growing in Sweden and one of the first examples of the Flora in the modern idiom. . First Edition. Cloth. Good.
